Privacy Statement
This statement is to reassure you that I am compliant with the General Data Protection Regulations (May 2018).

In order to create and deliver a unique and personal ceremony, it is necessary for me to get to know you and your family, and for you to share some personal information with me. Not everything you share may end up in the ceremony, and even if it does, I want you to know that I take your privacy very seriously.
I record my client interview sessions as a voice record on my phone. This is purely for information reasons and to refer back to as I create your bespoke and personal ceremony. I will listen to the voice recordings to type up notes to write your ceremony, once notes have been typed, all voice recordings will be deleted.

What Data do I collect?
Names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, date of birth, details of people’s lives including relationships with other people, activities such as work, leisure activities and if applicable political, trade union or activities in relation to religion or belief.

What do I do with your Data?

I record client information provided to me by funeral directors.

I complete the information form when I visit clients (name, address, date of birth/death)

I write notes on a note pad and voice record sessions to refer back to.

I write scripts for conducting ceremonies and these are printed or stored digitally.

I keep records for business purposes.

After the ceremony, all paperwork containing personal data is shredded

I store the ceremony script digitally as business records.
How do I store your Data?

Paper records of ceremonies

Electronic files including scripts, on an encrypted cloud storage only accessible by me.

When I am Peer Reviewed, as required by the terms of my Professional Body, I share the script with my reviewer. They will destroy all electronic and paper copies once the review has been completed.

I keep contact details on my mobile phone and PC. These are deleted after the ceremony.

All my accounting information is stored securely on my PC.
How long do I keep your information for?​
Depending on the type of data, most is deleted after the ceremony and when no further work is required on my behalf.
Website testimonials, scripts and certificates are indefinitely stored in digital format and only deleted if necessary.
Voice recordings are deleted as soon as scripts have been written and signed off by client.
Personal photos are only kept and used with consent from client.
